Polocrosse
is a fast paced contact sport combining polo and lacrosse. Players carry
a racquet in one hand, and must throw and catch the ball, bounce and
cradle it, and pass it up the field to score. Games are played in
chukkas much like polo. Beginners and children are welcome to slower skill-based
practices. For experienced players, horses are trailered to a full sized
field for lessons and scrimmage with an experienced instructor. Last
year we played in two tournaments including the Keystone Polocrosse tournament.
Teams are made of three people and we fielded several teams for each tournament.
Practices are held at the barn every week and new players are always welcome!
